We have five rooms with bathroom; three with double bed and two with twin beds. In two of them we can provide an extra bed or a cradle.
Each room is different from the rest as regards size, views and decoration. However, in all of them you will be able to enjoy latex mattresses, down filled duvets and pillows, and 100% cotton bed clothing and towels. As you can see, there are only natural products; the beds are made of wood treated with natural oils.
We will be happy to take care of your children while you get a relaxing massage or even a Bach flower or osteopathy treatment. We can also have a Tai-chi or Chi-kung session.
We currently support four organizations, all of them working either for human rights, helping poor countries, ecology movements or underprivileged children. We invite you to take a gesture of solidarity by donating 1% of the price of your room to one of them.
In our library you will find books and magazines on ecology, human rights, healthy living, naturopathy and of course, literature.
If you feel like it, you will also have the opportunity of learning how to make fruit preserves, cleaning products or cosmetics just with natural products.
And, of course, you can just relax.
Breakfast is included in the cost of your room. We’ll try our best to make it healthy and nice. You’ll love our home made food. We can also provide snacks for your outings
We were determined to use only materials which were healthy for people and not polluting for nature
We used lime as mortar because it allows the house to breath. We used white cement instead of the grey one because it is free of slag from the blast furnaces. All the wood was treated only with natural oils. All the hoops come from the earth. In the sewage we separated the black waters from the grey ones, and both are recycled. We use rain water for different purposes. There is not PVC in the house; we used other plastic materials, less polluting. We have solar panels to heat the house, the sun heats the rooms to the south and east through large windows; the ones to the north are insulated with hemp. Our central heating is a modern version of the old fashioned “glories”: we heat floors and walls.
We have tried to restore this house, more than 100 years old, according to the principles of bio-building and bio- climatic, using healthy and no polluting materials and saving energy
