Maison Mésange is a former winegrowers house dating from 1840. It is located in the village of Durban Corbières along the river Berre in the South-West of France.
The house hosts up to 14 guests. It contains three spacious bedrooms on the first floor and six bedrooms on the second floor. Breakfast and dinner are available on site.
Maison Mésange is a gite which also has an exhibition room of about 100 m² in which concerts and recitals are given. This room can be hired by artists or by individuals for any kind of celebrations.
In the village of Durban Corbières, visitors can find all the shops they need: a small supermarket, a café-restaurant, a bank, a pharmacy, doctors, a hairdresser, a florist, a swimming pool open in July and August. The village is also fortunate to have a very diverse and full event calendar aimed at all ages and all styles of people.
The nearest places to visit are first of all Durban Castle, dating from the 12th century, and the village's Little Heritage.
The Cathar Castles are only a few kilometres away from Durban and must be visited: Aguilar, Queribus, Peyrepertuse, Fontfroide Abbey...
The beautiful medieval City of Carcassonne is at about 1 hour drive from Durban. Perpignan is at the same distance from the village. Narbonne, however, is only 1/2 hour away.
