At the edge of a quiet village in the deep countryside of the South Gers, Villa Leon is run by Michael & Sarah, writers who live here all year round. We offer en suite rooms - doubles or twins - at 65 euros per room per night, tax included.
The house is a lovely 1870s maison bourgeois, with high ceilings, shutters, a spacious hallway and beautiful curved staircase. It sits in a large enclosed garden with a sizeable, elegant pool and terrace, which our guests are welcome to use, and fine views of the Pyrenees beyond the fields of sunflowers, corn and grazing cattle.
We provide off-road parking. We welcome individuals or families, including well-behaved dogs. We speak French and English.
Sarah is an internationally published food writer and cook, and we offer fine-quality food. We can cater for special dietary needs - we especially understand the difficulty vegetarians encounter in France! - and can provide evening meals on request.
We have just two double rooms and one twin room, so the house is never crowded, and while families can enjoy themselves in the pool, and the barn offers table tennis and darts, there is plenty of green space in the tranquil garden for those seeking rural peace.
