Bourgogne
Burgundy (Bourgogne) is synonymous with the wine of course but there's a lot more to discover in this region than just the wine. It consists of the Departments of Côte-d'Or, Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire and Yonne.
It's very much a region of half-timbered houses in the villages and magnificent chateaux. The cuisine is excellent cuisine being, of course, the home of boeuf bourguignon and naturally it's very much a wine region.
